A picturesque little seaside town, Grado boasts a peaceful lagoon on one side and a spectacular ‘Blue Flag’ beach on the other. The historic and charming Old Town, dating back to Roman times, is one of the best preserved medieval cities in northeastern Italy. Dominated by an ancient basilica, Grado also has quaint cafés, restaurants and shops, an Old Port still active with fisherman, several large pedestrian zones for shopping or strolling, subtropical vegetation and world-class beaches.
